Gefco opens new UK technical facility

French based logistics provider Gefco has launched a 60-acre automotive technical facility in Sandtoft, UK. The centre will create 120 local jobs and can store up to 9,200 vehicles. Gefco's new Sandtoft centre has benefited from a multi-million pound investment, including the addition of a body shop, vehicle inspection centre and parts store.

The new centre will provide vehicle preparation, fleet maintenance and refurbishment, as well as a customisation process for the Peugeot 107 Sport XS, including the addition of interior accessories and external body alterations.

Phil Shankley, managing director of Gefco UK, said, "We are immensely proud of the centre we have built at Sandtoft, not only for the 120 jobs that it will bring to the region, but for the innovation on offer to our customers for the first time, in fleet maintenance services, distribution and customisation."
